Physiotherapy for Meadowbrook residents

Meadowbrook sits about six kilometres south-east of Logan Central, bounded by the Logan River and part of Slacks Creek to the north and east and the Gold Coast railway line to the south. Its main roads include Loganlea Road and the Logan Motorway, and its 10-hectare Riverdale Park and Loganlea Golf Course give plenty of room for walking, golf and weekend sport.

Physio needs do not change with the postcode, and the problems below are the ones we see most often across Logan City, including back, neck, shoulder and wrist pain from long shifts and repetitive tasks, and knee and foot pain from time on hard floors. If you are finishing hospital-based care and want to keep rehabbing in the community, ask your GP or specialist whether a referral or chronic condition care plan applies to you.

Common conditions

What people most often come in for

The conditions we treat most often across Logan City are back pain and sciatica, knee pain, shoulder problems, hip pain, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis and neck pain. Each guide explains the research, a realistic recovery timeline and when to see a doctor first.

If you work on your feet, our plantar fasciitis guide and back pain guide are good starting points. If your work involves a lot of keyboard or repetitive hand use, see carpal tunnel and tennis elbow.

Our services

What we can help with

Most people start with a standard appointment, then move into gym-based rehab as they get stronger. We also offer clinical Pilates, hydrotherapy, women’s pelvic health and men’s pelvic health, vestibular physio for dizziness and acupuncture and dry needling. For older adults we run falls prevention and ageing-well physio. Our team is on the team page, and when it will change what we recommend we use VALD force-plate testing to measure strength and asymmetry rather than guess.

Your first visit

What a first appointment involves

We start by listening: what has happened, what you have already tried, what you want to get back to, and anything that worries you. Then we examine the area, and the joints and muscles around it, and test movement and strength. You leave with a clear explanation of what we think is going on, a plan that starts with what you can do yourself, and honest advice on how long recovery usually takes.

Most problems improve with active care — progressive exercise, load management and education — rather than passive treatment alone, and that is what our gym-based space is built for. If we think you need imaging, a specialist or your GP first, we will say so. Wear or bring clothes you can move in, and bring any referral, scans or care plan you have. Follow-up visits build on the first: we check what has changed, progress the exercises, and adjust the plan until you no longer need us.

Funding

Paying for physio if you live in Meadowbrook

Private patients can claim on the spot through HICAPS — see our physiotherapy fees page. If you have a chronic condition, your GP can prepare a care plan, and Medicare rebates physiotherapy item 10960 at $63.40 from 1 July 2026, for up to five allied health visits a calendar year pooled across professions — see Medicare physiotherapy. DVA card holders are billed directly for accepted conditions (see DVA fees), and NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed are welcome (see NDIS rates). Injuries from work or a car accident run through WorkCover and CTP pathways.
