DVA Physiotherapy for Veterans — Daisy Hill

Daisy Hill Physiotherapy welcomes Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold and White card holders. We’ve been serving Logan’s veteran community since 1987 from our clinic at Unit 4, 11–13 Allamanda Drive, Daisy Hill QLD 4127, with experienced clinicians who understand the specific musculoskeletal, vestibular and pelvic health needs that often present in retired service personnel.

What DVA covers at our clinic

  • Gold Card holders — all clinically necessary physiotherapy is fully covered with no gap payment, provided we have a current GP referral (D904 or LOMC).
  • White Card holders — physiotherapy is covered for the accepted conditions listed on your card. Bring your card so we can confirm coverage.
  • Allied Health treatment cycle — DVA requires a referral that is reviewed every 12 sessions or 12 months (whichever comes first). We coordinate this with your GP.

Common conditions we treat for veterans

  • Lower back & hip pain — including service-related load-bearing injuries
  • Knee, ankle and foot complaints — arthritis, post-surgical rehab, gait issues
  • Shoulder & rotator cuff injuries — including post-shoulder reconstruction
  • Vestibular dysfunction — including post-blast vestibular injury and BPPV
  • Pelvic floor & continence issues — for both male and female veterans
  • Chronic pain management — integrated with GP-led pain plans
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation — following joint replacements or spinal surgery
  • Falls prevention & balance training — especially relevant for older veterans

Frequently asked questions — DVA physiotherapy

Do you accept DVA Gold and White cards?
Yes — both Gold and White cards are accepted. Gold cards cover all clinically necessary physiotherapy; White cards cover physiotherapy for accepted conditions only.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
Yes — DVA requires a D904 or LOMC referral from your GP before we can bill. We coordinate referral renewals at the 12-session / 12-month mark.

Will I pay anything out of pocket?
No — for covered conditions there is no gap payment. We invoice DVA directly.

What if my condition isn’t on my White Card?
If your condition isn’t on your accepted list, you can either pay privately (and we’ll claim through any private health you hold) or apply to DVA to have the condition added.

Do you treat post-deployment vestibular injuries?
Yes — including BPPV, post-blast vestibular dysfunction and balance issues. Our clinicians use Dix–Hallpike and Epley manoeuvres on-site.

Can I access pelvic floor physiotherapy under DVA?
Yes — for both male and female veterans, where pelvic floor dysfunction is clinically indicated.
