Physio Kingston QLD: Local Physiotherapy in Logan City

Kingston is a Logan City suburb of about 10,500 people (2021 Census) just south-south-east of Logan Central, with its own railway station on the Beenleigh line and neighbours that include Slacks Creek, Meadowbrook and Loganlea. Our clinic is at Daisy Hill, not in Kingston — this page covers who we see from Kingston, how funding works, and what a first visit involves.

Physiotherapy for Kingston residents

Kingston covers around 6.7 square kilometres, with Kingston State School and Kingston State College, Groves Christian College, the heritage-listed Kingston Butter Factory (now a community arts centre) and Mount Taylor Parklands. Kingston railway station gives access to Queensland Rail City network services towards Brisbane and Beenleigh.

We are not located in Kingston — our clinic is in Daisy Hill, in the same Logan City council area. Whether you are dealing with a school-sport injury, a work-related back or shoulder problem, a long-term condition managed through a GP care plan, or concerns about balance and falls, the sections below explain what we treat and how to book.

Common conditions

What people most often come in for

The conditions we treat most often across Logan City are back pain and sciatica, knee pain, shoulder problems, hip pain, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis and neck pain. Each guide sets out what the research says, a realistic recovery timeline, and the red flags that mean you should see a doctor first.

For young athletes, our ankle sprain and hamstring guides cover return-to-sport decisions. For office and desk workers, neck pain and tennis elbow are common; and for those managing hand numbness at night, see our carpal tunnel guide.

Our services

What we can help with

Most people start with a standard appointment, then move into gym-based rehab as they get stronger. We also offer clinical Pilates, hydrotherapy, women’s pelvic health and men’s pelvic health, vestibular physio for dizziness and acupuncture and dry needling. For older adults we run falls prevention and ageing-well physio. Our team is on the team page, and when it will change what we recommend we use VALD force-plate testing to measure strength and asymmetry rather than guess.

Your first visit

What a first appointment involves

We start by listening: what has happened, what you have already tried, what you want to get back to, and anything that worries you. Then we examine the area, and the joints and muscles around it, and test movement and strength. You leave with a clear explanation of what we think is going on, a plan that starts with what you can do yourself, and honest advice on how long recovery usually takes.

Most problems improve with active care — progressive exercise, load management and education — rather than passive treatment alone, and that is what our gym-based space is built for. If we think you need imaging, a specialist or your GP first, we will say so. Wear or bring clothes you can move in, and bring any referral, scans or care plan you have. Follow-up visits build on the first: we check what has changed, progress the exercises, and adjust the plan until you no longer need us.

Funding

Paying for physio if you live in Kingston

Private patients can claim on the spot through HICAPS — see our physiotherapy fees page. If you have a chronic condition, your GP can prepare a care plan, and Medicare rebates physiotherapy item 10960 at $63.40 from 1 July 2026, for up to five allied health visits a calendar year pooled across professions — see Medicare physiotherapy. DVA card holders are billed directly for accepted conditions (see DVA fees), and NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed are welcome (see NDIS rates). Injuries from work or a car accident run through WorkCover and CTP pathways.
