If you train hard — lifting, running, or both — you don’t want to be told to rest. You want a plan that lets you keep training around the injury while you fix it.

I work with powerlifters, CrossFitters, hybrid athletes and recreational runners on overload and underload injury rehab, strength and conditioning programming, and structured return to lifting or running. I also have a significant WorkCover caseload — shift workers, tradies and industrial workers returning to work after musculoskeletal injury.

    WHAT I TREAT

    What I treat

    Powerlifting injuries
Squat, bench and deadlift technique review, programming around injury, return to 1RM testing.
    Hybrid athlete rehab
CrossFit, Hyrox and triathlon — keeping you training in the disciplines that are safe while we fix the one that isn’t.
    Running injuries
Achilles, plantar fascia, ITB, patellofemoral, hip — diagnosis, load management, return-to-running plan.
    WorkCover rehab
Return-to-work physiotherapy for shift, trade and industrial workers — coordinated with insurer and GP.
    Strength programming
Periodised programming to rebuild capacity post-injury or chase a specific lifting/running goal.
    Overload & underload
Tendinopathy, stress reactions and overuse injuries — calibrated load adjustment rather than pure rest.

    MY APPROACH

Train through, train around, train back

I don’t believe in stopping training unless the injury demands it. Most lifting and running injuries respond better to calibrated load adjustment than to time off. We figure out what you can still do at full intensity, what needs modification, and what needs to come out for now — then we get you back on a clear timeline.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Frequently asked of Arvin

I have a WorkCover claim — do I need approval first?
Bring your claim number and the GP referral. We bill WorkCover Queensland directly with no out-of-pocket cost for accepted claims.
    Do you write strength programs?
Yes — for clients who want structured programming alongside rehab, or rehab built into an existing program. Programming is included in the consult, not an add-on cost.
Can I keep training during rehab?
Almost always, yes. The exception is acute fractures, post-operative protocols and certain stress injuries — and even then we modify rather than stop.
    Do you treat junior athletes?
Yes — adolescent lifters and runners (with parental consent). Loading needs to be matched to maturation, which is a conversation we have at the first appointment.
