WHAT WE TREAT

Conditions we see most weeks in older adults

Osteoporosis & bone health
Progressive heavy-and-impact loading per evidence-based protocols — supervised, individualised and safe even with low T-scores.
Osteoarthritis
Knee, hip and back OA managed with progressive strength training rather than passive treatments alone.
Falls prevention
Targeted balance and strength work that reduces fall risk and rebuilds confidence. Graded for safety from session one.
Healthy ageing strength
Building and keeping muscle through your 60s, 70s and 80s — the single biggest longevity lever in the literature.
Post-fracture recovery
Structured rehab after hip, wrist or vertebral fracture — back to walking, transfers and confidence.
GLP-1 muscle preservation
For patients on Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro — protein-aligned resistance training to protect lean mass during weight loss.
OUR APPROACH

Strength is the medicine

The biggest mistake older adults are sold is that exercise needs to be gentle. For sarcopenia, osteoporosis, OA and frailty, progressive resistance training at meaningful intensity is the single most effective intervention. We match the starting load to where you are today and progress it sustainably — no jumping in cold, no holding you back when you’re ready to lift more.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked about aged-care physiotherapy

Do you do home visits for older patients?
Our primary delivery model is clinic-based with free parking and wheelchair access. For patients who genuinely cannot attend in clinic we can discuss home-visit options under Support at Home, NDIS or DVA funding.
I’m worried I’ll fall during exercise — is that safe?
Our falls-prevention programs are graded for safety. The first session is supervised, low-intensity, and we never progress faster than your balance and confidence allow.
I’m on Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro for weight loss — can you help with muscle loss?
Yes — Teya in our team has a particular focus on muscle preservation during GLP-1-medicated weight loss.
Will Medicare or Support at Home cover sessions?
Both can. See the funding pathways list above for what applies to your situation.
Am I too old to start?
No. Strength and balance improvements are measurable in adults into their 90s. The best time to start is now.
