WHAT WE TREAT

Most common cause of brief, intense vertigo with head movement. Highly treatable.
Inner-ear nerve inflammation. Sustained dizziness, often after viral illness.
Dizziness from the neck. Often missed in standard vertigo workup.
Vestibular dysfunction after head injury, including return-to-sport assessment.
Vestibular migraine management alongside primary medical care.
Age-related balance loss, falls prevention, multi-system contributors.
EVERY PATHWAY ACCEPTED
NDIS, DVA, Medicare CDM, WorkCover, private health.
Vestibular physiotherapy is covered under all major funding pathways. Particularly common under DVA (veteran vestibular dysfunction post-service) and NDIS (vestibular components of neurological conditions). Private health extras under physiotherapy.
HOW IT WORKS
Assessment first. Treatment same day if appropriate.
Initial appointment includes detailed history, oculomotor and gaze stability testing, Dix-Hallpike for posterior canal BPPV, head-impulse testing, and balance assessment. If BPPV is confirmed, repositioning manoeuvres are performed same day. For other vestibular conditions, a graded home program plus follow-up sessions builds adaptation.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Vertigo, dizziness and balance patients ask us …
How many sessions does BPPV usually take?+
Most BPPV cases resolve in 3 sessions after appropriate repositioning manoeuvres (Epley for posterior canal, Semont, BBQ roll). Occasionally more are needed if it recurs or there’s involvement of multiple canals.
Do I need a referral?+
For a private appointment, no — just book in. For DVA, NDIS, Medicare CDM or WorkCover you’ll need the appropriate referral or claim documentation.
What’s the difference between BPPV and vestibular neuritis?+
BPPV causes brief intense vertigo with specific head positions (rolling in bed, looking up). Vestibular neuritis causes sustained dizziness and balance issues, often after viral illness. Different treatment for each.
Can post-concussion dizziness be treated?+
Yes — post-concussion vestibular dysfunction is one of the most common reasons athletes can’t return to sport. Targeted vestibular rehabilitation typically resolves it.
Do you treat children with dizziness?+
Yes — vestibular conditions in children including BPPV (rare but treatable), vestibular migraine, and balance issues affecting school sport and learning.
