Hydrotherapy Information & Policies

Please read the full details below before your first session — it only takes a minute and helps everything run smoothly.

Our hydro sessions are extremely popular and spots are limited. We have strict policies in place so we can help as many people as possible. We can’t wait to see you in the pool!
About hydrotherapy

What to expect from your sessions

Session structure

Each supervised session is 30 minutes — a short warm-up, hydrotherapy exercises tailored to your goals, then a cool-down.

Exercises

A low impact, pain-free mix of gentle strength, mobility and cardiovascular work — tailored to your condition and goals.

Why hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy improves strength, mobility and cardiovascular fitness in a safe, low impact way. In particular, it helps people suffering from back, neck or joint pain reduce pain levels and improve function. Furthermore, because sessions are supervised by one of our qualified Daisy Hill physiotherapists, every exercise is tailored specifically to you.

Policies

Please read these carefully

Cancellations — 24-hour notice required

You must call at least 24 hours before your session if you cannot attend. This allows us to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. A Late Notice Fee equal to the cost of your appointment may be charged at the practitioner’s discretion for recurrent late cancellations.

Missed sessions

If you miss your session without notifying us, you may be charged a Late Notice Fee and may lose your spot in the hydrotherapy program. This fee is payable before any future appointments can proceed.

WorkCover & Insurance clients: non-attendance is billed to your case, which may lead to treatment suspension.

Changing session times

If you’d like to attend a different session as a one-off, call on the day you wish to attend and we’ll let you know if a space is available.

Unsure? Always call before missing your session. Please refer back to this page before calling admin — it answers most questions. If you still need help, call us on 07 3209 2000.

Frequently asked questions

We’ve got answers

Do I have to be able to swim or put my head under water?
No — that’s the beauty of hydrotherapy! Your feet are on the ground and your head is above water at all times.
What if I can’t make it to my session?
Please call us more than 24 hours in advance so we can offer the space to someone else on the waitlist. Call us on 07 3209 2000.
How do I get into the pool?
Entry to the pool is via a ramp with handrails. We also have access to water wheelchairs and hoists if required.
Will I be sent my exercises?
Yes! We’ll send you a personalised Physitrack program to your email with instructional videos, sets and reps to complete between your sessions.
Can my spouse or carer join in?
Yes, as long as there’s a spare space in the pool and they won’t interfere with other patients. Otherwise they’ll need to join the waitlist until a space becomes available.
What happens when I go on holidays?
Let the team know in advance and our admin team will do their best to hold your spot, depending on demand.
Do sessions run over public holidays?
Yes — though there may be reduced sessions or a different therapist covering your session. We’ll always notify you in advance of any changes.
Can I come early or stay later?
Yes! Your pool entry allows you to use the pools for an unlimited time on the day. Just make sure you arrive in time for your scheduled session.
What temperature is the pool?
The indoor pool temperature averages 30–33°C — warm and comfortable.
