Men’s pelvic health, hybrid athletes and endurance physiotherapy

Clinic Director at Daisy Hill Physiotherapy. I work at the intersection of high-load athletic rehab and pelvic health — a clinical mix that suits hybrid athletes, runners, lifters and men with pelvic floor or colorectal concerns.

    & Endurance

I treat the things most physios send elsewhere — post-prostatectomy continence, pudendal neuralgia, chronic pelvic pain — and I do it alongside endurance and strength athletes who want to keep training.

On the athletic side: running injuries, bony stress injuries, return-to-sport programming and strength and conditioning across CrossFit, Hyrox and triathlon. On the pelvic side: post-prostatectomy continence rehab, pudendal neuralgia, chronic pelvic pain syndrome and conservative management of colorectal symptoms. My sessions blend hands-on assessment with a structured exercise plan you can actually do between visits.

    WHAT I TREAT

    Conditions I see most weeks

    Post-prostatectomy continence
Pre- and post-surgical pelvic floor rehab to restore continence after radical prostatectomy.
    Pudendal neuralgia
Conservative management of pudendal nerve pain with manual therapy and neural retraining.
    Chronic pelvic pain (men)
CPPS protocols including pelvic floor down-training and gradual return-to-activity.
    Hybrid athlete rehab
CrossFit, Hyrox and gym-strength athletes returning from injury without losing capacity.
    Running & endurance
Bony stress injuries, gait analysis and progressive return to running mileage.
    Colorectal physiotherapy
Conservative care for bowel symptoms, post-surgical recovery and pelvic floor coordination.

    MY APPROACH

Treatment + a plan you actually own

Every session ends with a clear plan you take home — what to load, what to back off, what to watch for. I use VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo to measure asymmetries objectively so progress is provable, not just felt. If you’re an athlete I’ll keep you training where it’s safe; if you’re rehabbing pelvic surgery I’ll pace you carefully.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Frequently asked of Joshua

Do I need a referral to see Joshua?
No referral is needed for private appointments. NDIS, DVA, Medicare CDM and WorkCover patients should bring their plan, referral or claim details to the first appointment.
Can I claim through private health fund?
Yes — HICAPS on the spot for most major Australian health funds. You only pay the gap.
Do you treat both pelvic health and sports injuries in the same session?
Yes — many athletes carry both. Sessions are tailored to whichever area is currently limiting you most, and the home plan addresses both in parallel.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Any imaging or specialist reports, a list of current medications, and (if applicable) your NDIS plan, DVA card, GP Medicare CDM referral, or WorkCover claim number. Comfortable clothing you can move in is helpful.
